Redesign for Berliner Büchertisch

Designing an NGO website that serves diverse user groups

Background

Berliner Büchertisch is a non-profit organization based in Berlin, that aims to promote literacy and access to books for everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic status. They collect donations of new and used books and distribute them to schools, community centers, and other institutions. They also organize events and initiatives to encourage reading and foster a love of books.

In this project we are redesigning the organization's website from scratch, to better align with their mission and serve the needs of their diverse user groups.

  • The organization wears many hats. How do they want to present themselves on their website?

  • How can we design the navigation so that different user groups easily find the content that is relevant for them?
